Mirrors of Josh's Linux Guide

Last updated on July 18, 2000

These are ranked/listed according to what order they're generally updated. I urge you to bookmark the mirror that is closest to you to distribute the load that is put on the main server. If one of these servers is down, then choose another mirror.

You can even try bookmarking all of these mirrors, and then choosing the one that's closest to you. If that server is down, then choose the one that's next closest to you. If all the mirrors don't work, try the main site.

  1. http://www.local.net/~jgo/LinuxGuide/ (San Bernardino, California) Instant update. T1 I think, and the original server this guide was on.
  2. http://jgo.local.net/LinuxGuide/ (San Bernardino, California) Instant update. T1 connection.
  3. http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/LinuxGuide/ - (Vienna University of Technology, Austria) Updated twice a week. Connection seems fast.
  4. http://linuxguide.sourceforge.net/ - (Sunnyvale, CA) SourceForge mirror.
  5. http://www.armed.net/how/josh/linuxguide/ (Louisville, Kentucky) Updated twice a week. Shared dual OC3 with multiple backup connections three hops from MaeEast and four hops from MaeWest. Realtime bandwidth limit is 1.0 Mbps, although burst is greater.

If you are interested in mirroring this site, contact me. I am looking for international mirrors. Updating should automatically be done using a script of some sort (I just use wget). Please state specifically that you want to be a mirror listed here.

Of course, I would like to thank those who are hosting a mirror for doing so.
